My 1st attempt at Wire Art (or whatever you call it....

This is my 1st attempt at trying to create something in wire besides jewelry. I thought I would try and make some "beachy" things since I am going to the Tillamook Seafood Festival in October. So I tried.......and here is what I came up with (although some are still under construction.....). We have a shark, a seahorse, an abstract nude (although my significant other thought it looked like a jelly fish) and a 8-legged sea beast whom I affectionately call "Beasty" (P of C are my favorite movies besides Jaws).

I think I will go back to the drawing board on these. Although I like the Beasty. All comments are welcome - pro and con, good and bad. Go for it!!

  1. If I tilt my head to the right, I can see the nude. I can also see upside down jelly fish, but I prefer "ameba" for that one ;)
I really like the seahorse, and your 8 legged beasty is reminiscent of those "brittle star" sort of squiggly star fish. I likey!

  2. very cute and whimsy, after knowing name, can see the nude, I thought it was seaweed. I do like them, would be cute hanging from branches in the bare fall/winter trees. How big are they?

  3. The seahorse is 9", the sea beast is 9" diameter, the nude is 6-1/2" and the shark is about 14". They were fun to make.

    Thx,
